What is the Local Volunteer Board?
There are many roles for various members of the Young Life community. The Local Volunteer Board is a foundational part of Young Life and ensures that Young Life exists in an area far longer than any individual person. The Local Volunteer Board is the backbone of Young Life and often is the difference in producing the success and health of a Young Life Area.
Parkland Young Life’s Volunteer Board…
The Local Volunteer Board determines the needs of the area, are responsible to determine a budget for the area, assists in raising the money, and supervising its spending. They also evaluate which new clubs would be the best to start strategically for the area. The Local Volunteer Board also liaises with the community and maintains a strong relationship with the Regional Director.
People often deeply believe in what Young Life is accomplishing, and so join a Local Volunteer Board to help to further the work
